Wild Game Dinner

Do you hunt? Do you love the outdoors? Come share your bounty with other brothers who share your passion for the outdoors. This event is for men and boys of all ages whether you hunt or not!

Your entry fee gets you one ticket for the door prize drawing, and each dish or dessert you bring with you earns another entry into the door prize drawings! 

Each Thursday morning during the school year, a multi-generational group of men gather for a delicious breakfast (seriously... it's worth waking up early for), fellowship and speakers who encourage attendees with scripture and stories of their individual journeys to Christ - and all before the work day begins! SONrise begins with breakfast starting at 6AM (coffee ready at 5:45AM) and ends around 7AM, with plenty of time to get to work. It's a fun, relaxed environment with the great benefit of spending time with other Christ-minded men. Join us in the worship room/fellowship hall area bright and early!

REGULAR MEETING SCHEDULE:

During the school year (August - May), SONrise meets weekly at 6AM starting with breakfast in the kitchen/FLC. Following breakfast, men gather to hear a message, testimony, or ministry update from a special speaker.

SONRISE RESUMES REGULAR SCHEDULE FOR ITS 20TH YEAR!

We'll see you this Thursday, August 14 for the start of regularly scheduled SONrise fellowship, teaching and breakfast as we celebrate 20 years of iron sharpening iron!

We are kicking things off with a great new series called The Toolshed: Spiritual Disciplines for Hands-On Guys. Real growth takes real tools. In this series, we will explore how spiritual disciplines such as prayer, Scripture, and Sabbath are less about routine and more about renovation. Think of this as soul carpentry for men who want to build a life that lasts.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

Men can be as involved as they like or their schedule allows! There are opportunities to join a breakfast cooking team, sign up for serving projects, help with setup/takedown, or join in corporate prayer. DUES: The regular SONrise season is split into quarters, and there are suggested quarterly dues of $50 (after you have attended several meetings, of course). This helps SONrise continue to provide great breakfast each week and support Getwell missions. If you're interested in diving in to be more involved with SONrise, please contact Hunter.Upton@getwellchurch.org.

Mentoring

One of the primary goals of men’s ministry is to equip and support men to follow Jesus in their everyday lives, relationships, and responsibilities. One of the ways that we seek to do that is to foster one-on-one discipleship opportunities, or a mentoring connection. These connections are designed for at least one year of regular meetings to walk through God’s Word, pray, and explore God’s calling on us as men. Anyone interested in connecting with a mentor is encouraged to contact Hunter.Upton@getwellchurch.org.
